At 5.30 pm, Mumbai recorded 72 per cent humidity. However, it lingered above 80 per cent earlier in the day

On Friday, Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 82 (good) at 6.30 pm

Amid the extreme heat conditions, Mumbaikars also had to face 5-10 per cent water cut on Friday owing to pipeline work in Thane

Residents have been advised to take precautions to protect themselves from extreme heat before stepping out

Experts have advised citizens to remain hydrated throughout the day

Residents can also wear protective gear, such as scarfs, caps and sunglasses 

If residents feel dizzy or nauseous, they must visit a doctor, experts have cautioned
