After a brief stint of hot weather amid the ongoing monsoon, parts of Mumbai witnessed heavy rains today

People were seen with and without umbrellas at Dadar's Shivaji Park enjoying the showers along the seaside. Many were seen sitting on the tetrapods aligned along the shore

As per the weather department, the rest of the state is likely to witness moderate or heavy rainfall for the next four days

Children were seen rejoining a game of football, and runners were seen on their daily jog even as the heavy rain turned to moderate showers

Motorists and cyclists were seen clad in raincoats amid the downpour, while umbrella-borne office-goers faced minor inconveniences on their way to and from work

The IMD has predicted moderate rainfall for the next two days in Mumbai. However, a yellow-alert has been issued for June 30, with heavy rainfall likely to occur

Similar weather conditions have been predicted to prevail in the neighbouring districts of Thane and Palghar, with moderate to heavy rain occurring throughout the rest of the week

A yellow alert has been issued for Thane and Palghar districts over the upcoming weekend

Meanwhile, a red-alert has been issued for the districts of Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg over the upcoming weekend
