The SAFAR dashboard on Tuesday showed Worli's AQI as 117 and Andheri's AQI as 155. Borivali's AQI remained under the 'moderate' category at 121.

While Colaba's AQI and Chembur's AQI is at 190 and 303

An AQI between 201 and 300 is considered 'poor', 301-400 'very poor' and 401-500 'severe', while the AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory' and 101 and 200 'moderate

Locals said that concerned authorities failed to address the issue. On February 1, the residents led by a senior citizen, Arun Srivastava, held a meeting with Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) and submitted a letter detailing about the presence of heavy smoke emitting from chimneys located on Khairani Road
