Ahead of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 matches at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai Police also issued an advisory for the spectators who will be visiting the stadium to watch the matches

According to the guidelines, spectators are encouraged to utilize public transportation when traveling to the match venue

Additionally, spectators are instructed not to bring bags, water bottles, metal objects, inflammable items, etc., into Wankhede Stadium

The police have also urged spectators to promptly report any suspicious items to the nearest security personnel

The World Cup 2023 matches are scheduled to take place at Wankhede Stadium on October 21, 24, November 2, 7, and 15

England and South Africa are scheduled to clash in the 20th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the Wankhede Stadium

England enters the match with a track record of one victory and three defeats in the ongoing World Cup

The police have also asked the spectators to inform about any suspicious object or person, if any, to the nearest security personnel

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) is set to unveil a life-size statue of Sachin Tendulkar within the Wankhede Stadium premises on November 1.

During a discussion on Thursday, MCA President Amol Kale disclosed that the statue, to be positioned near the Sachin Tendulkar stand, will be officially revealed on the eve of India's World Cup match against Sri Lanka on November 2
