Mumbai is gearing up for two major celebrations--Ganesh Visarjan on September 17, 2024, and Eid-e-Milad on September 18, 2024
Both celebrations are expected to draw large crowds participating in processions throughout the city and the Mumbai Police has made elaborate arrangements for both the events
For these celebrations, the Mumbai Police have mobilised significant resources in the city, an official said
Nine Additional Commissioners of Police, 40 Deputy Commissioners, and 56 Assistant Commissioners, along with 4,013 police officers, 20,510 constables and other forces would be present as part of security arrangements in city, the official said
They will be supported by SRPF platoons, Quick Response Teams (QRT), Riot Control Units, Combat teams, Home Guards, Maharashtra Security Force, and other units, the official added
