Mumbai Fire Brigade rushed to the spot to extinguish the fire

After receiving the information, the Mumbai Fire Brigade, local BMC ward staff and police rushed to the spot. The officials said that it was a level-two fire which is considered as a major fire. 

Following the fire in Jamrishi Nagar in Kurar Village, huge smoke was witnessed in the area. The official said that the cause of the fire was yet to be known. 

Two hose lines were also in operation and the blaze was brought under control, the official said, adding that cooling operation was on.

For the operation, eight fire engines, four jumbo tankers, ambulance and other assistance were rushed to the spot, the official said.

During the fire fighting operation, a boy was found to be injured in the incident. The boy was rushed to nearby Shatabdi Hospital where he was declared brought dead, an official said.
