Devendra Fadnavis extended greetings of Ganesh Chaturthi on Wednesday through Twitter. The Ten-day long Ganeshotsav began in the state and elsewhere in the country on Augiust 31. Ganeshotsav is one of the biggest festivals of Maharashtra. Pic- Eknath Shinde's team

Eknath Shinde visited Ganesh mandals in Thane and also interacted with organisers and devotees in Kisan Nagar which is considered as his political turf. While talking to the press, Shinde got emotional and said it was a great feeling to visit a place from where he started his political career decades ago. Pic- Eknath Shinde's team

Eknath Shinde became the chief minister of Maharashtra on June 30 this year after forming an alliance with the BJP. Shinde had led a rebellion against Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and toppled the Sena-NCP-Congress government. Pic- Eknath Shinde's team
