CM Shinde on Sunday held a ceremony at his official residence, Varsha, where offerings of robes, food, and blessings were given to Buddhist monks in honor of the holy month

He mentioned that for the past two years, he has served the community not just as a politician but as a common man

He stated, “Even though there is conflict in many places, we must focus on the teachings of Buddha to create a happy society, state, and nation”

CM Shinde highlighted the importance of Buddha's philosophy alongside modern knowledge

CM Shinde also recited a poem honoring Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, saying that the state operates based on the teachings of Gautam Buddha and the Constitution framed by Dr. Ambedkar

The ceremony began with tributes to Buddha and Dr. B.R Ambedkar, followed by the presentation of robes and offerings to the monks by the Chief Minister and MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde

The monks then blessed the Chief Minister and had a meal with him

The monks expressed their joy at this new tradition being established in Maharashtra, highlighting the significance of such events in fostering peace and community spirit
