“It is determined to make women strong. Along with making women economically self- reliant, we are very sensitive about the safety and protection of women. Strict measures are being taken at all levels in this direction,” CM Shinde said

CM Shinde while extending his greetings to the women and sisters present on the occasion, asserted that in the first phase 3 thousand 225 crore rupees have been deposited directly into the accounts of 1 crore 7 lakh beneficiaries and in the second phase, 1562 crore rupees of stipend had been transferred to the bank accounts of 52 lakh beneficiary women

CM Shinde announced the distribution of benefits under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojna during a program held today at Resham Bagh ground in Nagpur

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, and other ministers. Chief Minister Shinde also expressed confidence in the success of the Lakhpati Didi scheme, which aims to make over 50 lakh women financially independent

He addressed concerns about the scheme’s implementation, reassuring that it is well-managed and encouraged women not to be misled by any negative propaganda

CM Shinde also mentioned the government’s decision to waive educational fees for girls facing financial difficulties, reflecting the administration’s sensitivity and commitment to public welfare

Reiterating that the state government is working in a sensitive way, he said that as soon as the government learnt that the girls ended their lives as they were not having money to pay the educational fees, the state government took the decision to waive off the entire educational fees for the girls

He said that the government of the state is the ‘Government of common people’ and it is efficiently working and extending assistance to the common people
