Aam Aadmi Party led the protest which saw Congress and other allies of the INIDIA bloc participating.
Mumbai Congress unit chief Varsha Gaikwad and other dignitaries from the INDIA bloc parties were spotted at Azad Maidan.
The party workers had also turned up for the 'Satyagraha' with posters and placards critiquing the Modi government and its usage of federal agencies to struck opposition.
A placard held by one of the protestors read that the Enforcement Directorate was a puppet and the ruling BJP govt led by Prime Minister Modi was its puppeteer.
Other protestors were spotted holding a banner which read 'Main Bhi Kejriwal' while others stuck banners with Kejriwal's face to their clothes.
One of the protestors had worn a metal chain around himself cuffing his hands to symbolise the curtailing of opposition through these federal agencies.
One of the protestors, addressing the crowd, had also raised issue about federal agencies sending notice to Amol Kirtikar merely an hour after his candidacy for Lok Sabha Elections 2024 was announced.
Delhi CM Kejriwal was arrested by ED on March 21 in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case. This is the first time wherein a sitting CM was arrested.
