As the idol gets unveiled, devotees take a shot of Bappa on their camera phones 

GSB or the Gowd Saraswat Brahaman Seva Mandal had installed an idol of Lord Ganesha with 69kg of gold and 336 kg of silver last year

Last year, the mandal held a special puja to Lord Ganesha to thank him for the successful Chandrayaan-3 mission

The mandal also takes insurance worth hundreds of crores each year. Last year, GSB Mandal had taken total insurance of Rs 360.45 crore, including Rs 290 crore for visitors in the pandal, Rs 39 crore for the jewellery and Rs 20 crore for public liability
