Commuters were seen during heavy rainfall at Versova jetty, Andheri

The India Meteorological Department’s Santacruz observatory recorded an average rainfall of 56 mm in the past 24 hours ending 8.30 am on Sunday, in comparison to the Colaba Observatory which recorded 15.8 mm of rain in the same period

This season (from June 1 to September 10) the rainfall recorded by the IMD Colaba and Santacruz observatories has been 1999.3 mm and 2574.1 mm, respectively

The monsoon trough is presently passing through Ganganagar, Hisar, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Gaya, Ranchi, Balasore, and then southeast wards to the East Central Bay of Bengal
