IN PHOTOS: Giant 7-foot Indian rock python rescued from Mumbai restaurant

On Sunday, a 7-foot-long Indian rock python was found in a restaurant at IC Colony in Mumbai's Borivali West area. The python had managed to enter the restaurant late at night. Reports Shirish Vaktania (see pics)

On Sunday morning, around 4 am, a snake was sighted in the restaurant's storage room (Pic/Shirish Vaktania)

It is presumed that the python had likely entered the restaurant in search of rodents or rats

The Indian rock python was discovered resting atop a stack of distilled water bottles.

One employee spotted the snake inside the storage area

Sai Mondkar, a snake rescuer based in Dahisar, visited the site to rescue the python

With expertise and caution, snake rescuers Sai Mondkar and Sunil Gupta successfully rescued the python and safely released it back into its natural habitat
