In Kondachi chawl in Bhoiwada area of Parel, the residents recreated a mini version of their settlement as pandal decor.

The pandal, installed by Bal Gopal Ganesh Utsav Mandal on the premises of Chawl no 3 in Bhoiwada, was a replica of Janmashtami celebrations.

The beautiful idol, which shows Lord Ganesha as little Krishna, was sculpted by artist named Ratan Amberkar.

The Ganeshotsav festivities began on September 19 this year and will continue till Anant Chaturdashi.

Children of the chawl were spotted participating in the drawing competition organised by the mandal.
