The incident took place at around 13:52 pm at the pipeline area located close to the Rustomjee Fire Station in Thane, the officials said
Around three unauthorised temporary huts near the pipeline caught fire, posing a significant risk, the officials said
Disaster management officials, Kapurbawdi and Rabodi police personnel, along with fire brigade teams rushed to the spot after receiving the information, the civic officials said
In the incident one mini gas cylinder blast also reportedly occurred, they said, adding that other LPG gas cylinders were removed safely from the spot
The fire, which broke out in the huts, was completely extinguished by 14:25, the officials added
Further action against the unauthorized hut constructions will be taken by the civic body's Encroachment Department, they said
No one was injured in the incident, an official said
