On the eve of the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024, the Election Commission set up a 'pink booth' at Sir JJ School of Art in Fort, Mumbai, on Tuesday. The students of JJ School of Art have created captivating artwork at the polling booth, adding a creative touch to the voting experience

The voter count in Mumbai has crossed the one-crore mark. Of the total 1,02,29,708 voters in Mumbai, 47,61,265 are women  

As Mumbai has historically recorded a poor voter turnout, the Election Commission has taken various initiatives to increase participation on the polling day

The Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 will be held on Wednesday. Voters can cast their ballot in the booths assigned to them from 7 am to 6 pm

Women-centric issues have been the focus of all political parties. The ruling Mahayuti alliance introduced a flagship scheme, 'Ladki Bahin Yojana', under which women from economically weaker backgrounds receive Rs 1,500 every month. The Opposition, Maha Vikas Aghadi, has promised to increase this amount and has also criticised the government for its handling of crimes against women in the state
