Mumbai received an average 100 mm rainfall in 24 hours till 8 am on Thursday, while neighbouring Thane city received a whopping 213.84 mm rainfall during that period

 

A massive landslide at Irshalwadi village in Raigad district has claimed the lives of at least 10 villagers and many are still feared trapped

 

IMD predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall in Mumbai city and suburbs with the possibility of occasional gusty winds reaching 50-60 kmph

"Mumbai Thane Navi Mumbai received heavy to very heavy rainfall in the past 24 hours. The impact is seen more in Thane and Navi Mumbai areas with rainfall exceeding 150 mm at many places. Take care of flood-like situations and also landslides in these areas please," tweeted K S Hosalikar - head, IMD, Pune

 

Mahabaleshwar, Satara's famous hill station, recorded 315 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours ending on July 20, 8.30 am. Meanwhile, Dahanu recorded 305 mm of rainfall during the same period
