The ceremony was also attended by several notable figures, including Member of Parliament Dr Shrikant Shinde, Milind Deora, and former MP Rahul Shewale, along with officials from the Protocol Department.

Following the Aarti, a traditional Maharashtrian meal was served to the diplomats, featuring steamed modaks, a favourite offering to Lord Ganesha, which the guests thoroughly enjoyed.

As a mark of hospitality, the diplomats were warmly welcomed and honoured with special gifts.

During the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, Lord Ganesha is honoured as the remover of obstacles and god of new beginnings.

The Ganesh Chaturthi festival will continue for 10 days, with prayers, music, and vibrant processions filling the streets of Maharashtra until Anantha Chaturdashi.

Ganeshotsav 2024 commenced on September 7 and will be culminating on September 17 with devotees bidding an emotional adieu to Lord Ganesha during visarjan.
