Data as per the Disaster Management Department showed that the city will witness 22 days of high tide in the Arabian Sea during the four months of monsoon this year

Mumbai and its suburbs received heavy spells of rain on Saturday morning which led to waterlogging in some areas of the city

However, according to the officials, trains were operating per usual during the heavy rain, reported PTI

The India Meteorological Department said the city received 91 mm within the 24 hours period ending at 8 am on Saturday

Meanwhile, its eastern and western suburbs recorded 87 mm and 93 mm of rainfall respectively

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued a yellow alert for Mumbai for the next three days forecasting heavy rainfall at isolated places while an orange alert was issued for Saturday

As per the IMD forecast, Thane district of Maharashtra is very likely to receive heavy rainfall in a few places for the next 3 days while Palghar has also been issued a yellow alert

As per the data recorded at 5.30pm on Saturday, Santacruz observatory recorded 52.3 mm of rainfall while Colaba observatory recorded 20.6 mm of rainfall
