The protestors were seen forming human chains while raising slogans.
Demonstrations were organised between Birsa Munda Chowk and a metro ramp at Aarey.
The Maharashtra government has planned to make Mumbai Metro-3 car shed in Aarey Colony.
The construction of Metro car shed at Aarey was among the first decisions reversed by the Shinde-Fadnavis government.
The Metro line 3 is a 33.5 km route and will connect south Mumbai with the western suburbs.
