The information about the blaze was received by the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of the Thane Municipal Corporation at around 5:52 am, the officials said

The fire bridge and other civic officials rushed to the spot and launched a fire-fighting operation, they said

The incident had sparked concerns of a potential disaster in the densely populated area

The officials said that at the time of the incident the bus was unoccupied and no passenger was present in the vehicle

Upon arrival at the scene, the officials found the private bus engulfed in flames. The driver's cabin and front side of the vehicle suffering major damage

Despite the intensity of the fire, no injuries were reported in the incident, the officials said
