The civic body said that around 19 shops allegedly obstructing the widening of Anand Marg in Malad (West) were demolished by the P-North Ward
According to the BMC, with the widening of the road, it will be possible for citizens to have a walkable and hassle-free road
The Anand Marg road, outside Malad railway station is used by hundreds of citizens daily. As per the BMC, at least 1,20,000 people visit the area every day
The area is known for the artificial jewellery market and the fish market
The constructions in this area, adjacent to the suburban station were also causing inconvenience to the citizens and keeping this mind, the P North Ward has taken up road widening work at this place, said a BMC release
