Shiv Sena (UBT)'s Arvind Sawant and Anil Desai initiated their election campaign by starting a rally from statue of revered Shiv Sena leader, Bal Thackeray.

Both Sawant and Desai, representing Mumbai South and Mumbai South Central Lok Sabha constituencies respectively, formally submitted their candidacy applications as official candidates of the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) party within the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance.

The rally saw the presence of prominent leaders, including Aditya Thackeray, the chief of the youth wing of Shiv Sena UBT, along with other key figures from the Mahavikas Aghadi coalition.

The rally participants, carrying torches symbolising enlightenment and flames representing passion, expressed their commitment to the alliance's goal of defeating the BJP and safeguarding democracy and the constitution.

The event was attended by a large number of party supporters, office bearers, public representatives from various parties in the Mahavikas Aghadi, and loyal activists, demonstrating strong solidarity towards the alliance's cause.

Arvind Sawant expressed gratitude to all those who participated in the rally and pledged their support, emphasising the importance of the trust placed in him by party leaders and the electorate.

Sawant attributed his surge of enthusiasm and determination to the blessings of the late Shiv Sena chief, Balasaheb Thackeray, and the guidance of Shiv Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray, affirming their unwavering support for his candidacy.

Sawant and Desai vowed to secure a resounding victory in their respective constituencies, promising to uphold the trust vested in them by party elites and the people.

Alongside their supporters and allies from the Mahavikas Aghadi, Sawant and Desai officially filed their nomination applications for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

The presence of leaders like Aditya Thackeray and the collective participation of activists and supporters showed the unity and determination within the Shiv Sena (UBT) and the Mahavikas Aghadi alliance to emerge victorious in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
