Medical Officer Dr Ritesh from Bhabha Hospital confirmed that nine people were admitted following the stampede. While most are stable, two passengers, Noor Mohammad Shaikh and Indrajith Sahani, remain in critical condition.

The injured passengers include Shabhir Abdul Rehman, Parmeshwar Sukhdar Gupta, Ravindra Harihar Chuma, Ramsevak Ravindra Prasad Prajapati, Sanjay Tilakram Kangay, Divyanshu Yogendra Yadav, and Mohammad Shareef Shaikh, all of whom sustained various injuries.

Three injured passengers opted for discharge against medical advice to seek private treatment. These include Shabbir Rehman, Mohammad Sharif, and Samir Shaikh, who suffered minor injuries or chose alternative treatment options.

Indrajeet Shahwal, who suffered a severe fracture, was transferred to KEM Hospital. Noor Mohammad Sheikh, critically injured with a lung injury, will also be moved to KEM for further treatment.

Western Railway issued a statement indicating only two injuries from the incident. However, Bhabha Hospital records show nine individuals were injured, highlighting a discrepancy between official reports and hospital documentation.

Western Railway has urged passengers to board trains in an orderly manner and not attempt boarding before the train reaches the platform. Safety messages are being shared on social media and through station announcements.

Western Railway CPRO noted a significant rise in travel during the holiday season, with about 2,500 special train trips scheduled. Additional measures and staffing are being provided to manage the increased passenger volume at Bandra Terminus.
