Two unidentified persons on motorbikes fired four rounds outside actor Salman Khan's residence at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai's Bandra area prompting probe.

Following the incident, security around Salman Khan's home was beefed up, with police intensifying patrols and conducting searches for the perpetrators. CCTV footage from nearby cameras is being scrutinised to identify the assailants.

Bandra Police, along with crime branch officials and forensic experts, swiftly reached the scene to gather evidence and initiated an investigation into the shooting.

The Mumbai Police said that the accused persons' were caught in the CCTV camera however they were wearing helmets which hid their faces.

It is not known whether Salman Khan was at home at the time of the incident, authorities are likely to ascertain his safety and well-being as part of their investigation.

The recent shooting incident adds to previous security concerns surrounding Salman Khan, including threats he received via email last year, leading to police action against alleged gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, among others.

An email was sent to Khan's office in March last year was attributed to gangsters; he was threatened with death prompting the police to file an FIR against the accused.

Despite security measures, threats against Salman Khan persisted; in an incident in June 2022, an unidentified individual issued a handwritten note conveying threats to the actor's safety.
