A couple from Dahisar was the first ones to get vaccinated at Dahisar COVID-19 vaccination centre, on Monday, after waiting for over two hours. They had reached the centre at 10:15 am and were administered the vaccine at 12:45 pm.
The couple had to wait as some technical glitch led to delay in the vaccination process.
"Don't we wait for air-travel, movies and restaurants? Then why not for something that is so important for our health? I do not understand why should there be chaos and arguments. It is the first day and there are bound to be some issues," said Prakash Shenai (69), a Dahisar resident.
The Shenai couple had registered online at 9 am as soon as the website opened the process. "We had decided to take the vaccine as soon as it is available. The online registration process was really smooth," said 60-year-old Deepali Shenai.
The couple also made a video and took photos of each other while they were administered the vaccine.
