The motive behind brutal murder is said to be business rivalry and the accused wanted to settle score with Kadam, said inspector Wagh. He added, "The accused knew that Kadam goes to temple early in the morning. So, he hatched a plan along with his accomplices to eliminate Kadam. Our further investigations are underway."
Kadam was stabbed multiple times on his back and other parts of the body besides being hit by an iron rod. He succumbed to the grievous injuries and excess bleeding.
