After new guidelines for Maharashtra, BMC also extended the earlier limit of 4 pm to 10 pm

Last week, the Maharashtra government announced further relaxations for dine-in restaurants and hotels and allowed them to function till 10 pm. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), in a similar move recently, also extended the timings from 4 pm to 10 pm.
Restaurants, hotels and bars
- Can open with 50 per cent capacity till 10 pm all days of the week
- For consumers, wearing face masks is compulsory even while waiting at the restaurant
- All hotel staff, including managers, waiters, cook/chefs, cleaning staff, bartenders, should wear masks at all time and must have received both doses of Covid-19 vaccine and after 14 days of receiving the second shot can work in any restaurant and bar
- If the hotel/restaurant/bar is air-conditioned, then at least two windows (if there are any) and the door, need to be kept open and fans should be installed inside for air circulation
- For dine-in restaurants, seating arrangement should be in such a way that prescribed physical distancing can be maintained
- The establishments should also be sanitized/disinfected from time to time and sanitizer dispensers should be available for the customers
- The restrooms/toilets must have high capacity exhaust fans
- Parcel services allowed 24x7
Some more respite was also given to employees and employers of private and government offices as per the new guidelines.
Private and government offices
- Government and private offices can operate at full capacity
- For private offices, staggering of work hours should be done to avoid crowding while travelling
- Private/Industrial establishments where all employees/management are fully vaccinated are allowed to work with full capacity.
