Tunisha Sharma case: Court sends co-actor Sheezan Khan to 4-day police custody

In a suicide case of actress Tunisha Sharma (20), the Waliv police arrested a co-actor and boyfriend Sheezan Khan on Sunday morning. The accused was produced in the Vasai court on Sunday. The court sent actor Sheezan Khan to police custody for four days.

Police said actress Tunisha Sharma and her boyfriend Sheezan Khan have been in a relationship for many years but 15 days back, the couple parted ways. Police said Tunisha Sharma was in depression after her breakup.

According to the police officials, the incident occurred on Saturday evening. Tunisha was working on the shooting set of the daily soap serial Alibaba: Dastaan e - Kabool at Kaman Chinchvati at Vasai. During Tunisha locked herself in a washroom attached to the make-up room and hanged herself.

The crew members knocked on the door many times but Tunisha didn't open the door. The crew members broke the door and found her hanging by a waist belt. They rushed her to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead. The doctors performed a postmortem at a Vasai-based hospital and handed over her body to her family for the final rites.

Tunisha Sharma made her acting debut with 'Bharat Ka Veer Putra - Maharana Pratap'. She also worked in shows like 'Ishq Subhan Allah', 'Gabbar Poonchwala', 'Sher-e-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh', and 'Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat'. The actor also appeared in Bollywood movies including 'Fitoor', 'Baar Baar Dekho', 'Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh', and 'Dabangg 3'.

Waliv police arrested the accused Sheezan Khan and produced him in the court and remanded police custody.
