Activists of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) staged a protest alleging that the construction of the new Kopri bridge in the city was of "substandard" quality.
The bridge, which connects eastern and western parts of the city divided by the railway tracks, was constructed recently after the old one was demolished.
Local MNS leaders Avinash Jadhav, Ravindra More and Samishra Markande took part in the protest. Jadhav claimed while speaking to reporters that even before the inauguration a pothole has formed on the bridge and cracks are also visible in many places.
