Around 16 vehicles, including three cars, were gutted in a fire in the parking area of a residential complex in the early hours of Wednesday in Thane.
"No one was injured in the incident that took place at the housing society in Thane's Panchpakhadi area," said Yasin Tadvi, chief of the Thane civic body's Disaster Management Cell.
According to the civic official, the fire started around 12.45 am at the P1 level of the two-floor parking lot of the building.
The housing society is situated close to the headquarters of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC).

"A fire engine was sent to the spot, and it was put out by 1.30 am," the civic official said.
"The fire damaged 13 two-wheelers, charring 11 of them, and three four-wheelers," the fire official added.
According to the officials, they are yet to determine the cause of the fire.
The Naupada police are probing into the matter.
Meanwhile, a fire destroyed a cotton yarn manufacturing unit in Thane district.
"Nobody was injured in the incident that took place at Kalher in the Bhiwandi area on Tuesday night," said Yasin Tadvi, chief of the Thane civic body's Disaster Management Cell.
According to the official, four fire engines were sent to the spot, and the fire, which started around 9.35 p.m., was put out after about 6 hours.
"The cause of the fire is still being probed," the official added.
