A fire broke out in a furniture manufacturing factory in Bhiwandi in Thane district on Tuesday night, civic officials said, reported news agency PTI.
No one was injured in the blaze which erupted in the furniture manufacturing factory in Bhiwandi's Idgah Road at around 9 pm and efforts were on to douse the flames, they said, reported PTI.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known, said the officials, reported PTI.
In another incident, a fire broke out in a flat in a 21-storey residential building in suburban Kandivali on Monday night, a Fire Brigade official said, reported PTI.

No injuries were reported in the fire that started in the building, Orchid, in the Mahavir Nagar area of the western suburb at around 8.35 pm and was doused after 20 minutes, he said, reported PTI.
According to the official, the blaze erupted in an air conditioner in a flat on the 20th floor of the building.
Two fire engines, one jumbo water tanker and other equipment were deployed to douse the flames, he said, reported PTI.
The exact cause of the fire was not yet known, the official added.
Meanwhile, a fire destroyed decoration materials kept in the open near a house, triggered multiple cylinder blasts and reduced a four-wheeler to ashes in Nagpur city on Monday night, police said, reported PTI.
No injuries were reported in the fire incident which took place at around 9 pm near the residence of one Raju Sagarkar, owner of Saoji Decoration, located in New Diamond Nagar, they said, reported PTI.
According to the police, the fire started in the vicinity of the decoration materials stored in an open area near Sagarkar's residence, reported PTI.
The blaze caused multiple LPG cylinder explosions and completely destroyed a four-wheeler belonging to the local businessman, they said.
The blaze was later doused, said the police, adding no injuries were reported, reported PTI.
The cause of the fire was not yet known.
