Thane: 16-year-old boy drowns in lake at Diva

A 16-year-old boy of Kharvali Devi Chawl of Diva who was feared to have drowned in a lake was found on Monday morning.

Thane Municipal Corporation disaster management chief told Mumbai Mirror that "Aryan Chipa had gone swimming with his four other friends on Sunday. After a while, the boy suddenly got breathless and was feared to have drowned in the waters."

"The nearby residents then alerted the rescue officials and a search operation to trace and fish out the boy from the water body was undertaken immediately," he added.

His body was removed at 11 am on Monday by the official of Thane Disaster Rescue Force.
