Mumbai Police on Monday issued traffic diversions in parts of city ahead of PM Modi's roadshow in Mumbai for Lok Sabha elections 2024.
In a traffic notification, Mumbai Police said, on May 15, 2024, a roadshow has been organised at L.B.S Road in the jurisdiction of Ghatkopar Traffic Police Division in Mumbai and a large number of people will be participating in the roadshow.
The police said, due to this congregation on such a large scale on L.B.S. Road, the movement of vehicular traffic will be effected on adjoining roads in the vicinity of L.B.S. road. Hence following traffic arrangement is made.

- L.B.S. Road from Gandhi Nagar Junction to Naupada Junction and on Mahul-Ghatkopar road from Meghraj Junction to R.B. Kadam Junction shall be closed for all type vehicular movement on both the bound from 14.00 hrs to 22.00 hrs.
2. Road shall be Closed for vehicular traffic as per requirement.
1. Vehicular traffic On Andheri - Ghatkopar Link Road from Ghatkopar Junction to Sakinaka Junction.
2. Vehicular traffic towards Gulati petrol pump junction from Hiranandani Kailash.
3. Vehicular traffic form Golibar Maidan and Ghatkopar Metro Station (W) towards Sarvodaya Junction.

1. Eastern Express Highway, 2.Western Express Highway, 3. Andheri-Kurla Road,4.Saki Vihar Road, 5.MIDC Central Road, 6. Santacruz Chembur Link Road (SCLR), 7.Sion- Bandra Link Road, 8. Jogeshwari Vikroli Link Road (JVLR).
"Citizens and motorists are appealed to plan their journey accordingly and use alternate routes to reach their desired destinations," Mumbai Police said in the traffic notification.
The police said that inconvenience was regretted.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will speak at two rallies and a roadshow in the city on May 15 and 17 ahead of voting for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in Mumbai, according to the sources, as the poll dates in the city nears.
Mumbai will vote in the fifth and final phase of Lok Sabha polls and it will take place on May 20, 2024, encompassing 13 constituencies including Mumbai North, Mumbai North West, Mumbai North East, Mumbai North Central, Mumbai South Central, Mumbai South, Washim, Dindori, Nashik, Palghar, Bhiwandi, Washim, Thane.
