The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) on Wednesday announced that the water supply will be suspended in some areas of Thane for 24 hours due to urgent maintenance and repair work on Friday, September 8.
According to TMC, there will be no water supply from 9.00 am on Friday (September 8) to 9.00 am on Saturday (September 9).
"The STEM Authority will undertake urgent maintenance and repair work, as a result water supply will be suspended in some areas of Thane from 9.00 am on Friday (September 8) to 9.00 am on Saturday (September 9)," the civic body said.
The major affected areas which will face 24-hour water cut include Ghodbunder Road, Lokmanya Nagar, Vartak Nagar, Saket, Ritupark, Jail, Gandhi Nagar, Rustamji, Indiranagar, Rupadevi, Srinagar, Samta Nagar, Siddheshwar, Eternity, Johnson, Mumbra and Kalwa.

The TMC said that citizens should note that the water supply will be at low pressure for the next one to two days after the water supply is restored.
The civic body has also asked residents in the city to store water and use it judiciously.
Meanwhile, the Thane Municipal Corporation has announced that it will observe "Lokshahi Day" (Democracy Day) on October 3, inviting citizens to participate by submitting their grievances and requests by September 18. This initiative aims to provide residents with a platform to address their concerns and seek solutions to various issues, Department of Public Relations said in a statement on Tuesday.
