In Maharashtra's Palghar, a 35-year-old tribal man was arrested by the police. The man allegedly murdered his wife, suspecting her fidelity, senior police inspector Sanjay Bramhane told PTI on Tuesday. The incident occurred late on Sunday night in Khiroda village, Jawhar taluka, the report added.
The suspect allegedly used a sharp weapon to attack his wife (aged 32) leading to her immediate demise. According to the report, upon being notified, the police reached the spot and sent the dead body to a government hospital for a post-mortem. Meanwhile, the accused was arrested and charged under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for the murder.
A man from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, aged 40, has been arrested for allegedly murdering a 19-year-old individual in Thane over a personal conflict. The crime came to light on November 8 when an unidentified person was discovered under Narpoli police station limits in Bhiwandi area, stated a Senior Police Inspector Sachin Chowdhari from crime unit 2.
The police registered a case under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code, stated a PTI report, and initiated an investigation into the incident. Through the analysis of CCTV footage and technological inputs, the victim was identified, the report added.

Upon probing the matter, it was revealed that the accused harboured resentment towards the victim for assisting his third wife in leaving him, leading to the fatal attack, the PTI report added.
Additionally, it was discovered that the accused intended to harm his wife, who had relocated to Pratapgarh (UP) after separating from him. Consequently, he travelled to UP via train.
Utilising the technological and financial data of the accused, the police tracked him down to a village in UP's Jaunpur district, within the Buxa police station limits.
Collaborating with authorities in UP, a team from Bhiwandi successfully apprehended the accused from the village on Friday and transported him back to Thane on Saturday.
The arrested individual has a history of criminal activities, amassing about 25 offences including theft, attempted dacoity, and assault, documented by the Narpoli, Bhiwandi taluka, Ulhasnagar, Navi Mumbai, and Thane police departments.
