The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, on Thursday, announced that owing to unavailability of adequate vaccine stock, the vaccination drive in the city will not be conducted from April 30-May 2. Planned vaccination of citizens aged 18 years and above is also likely to start late.
Earlier, the BMC had notified that for the Phase 3 of the vaccination drive which allows everyone above 18 years to get inoculated, the available stock will be distributed only to the government and Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) Covid Vaccination Centres and not be distributed to any private vaccination centres.
