Vashi station commuters attempted to rescue an individual trapped under the wheels of a suburban local train by pushing it on its side. Railway officials confirmed the incident as a case of trespassing on the tracks, urging commuters to use foot over bridges and underpasses.
A video on social media shows the commuters pushing the train to free the trapped passenger but were unsuccessful in their attempt.

The suburban local bound for Panvel appears to have applied emergency brakes and halted mid-way on the platform.
The video was posted by a Reddit user by the name Cat_of_Culture.
"Folks weren't trying to tip coach to the side, just move it up a bit. And it did work, I was one of the guys pushing. It did go slightly up, and it seems the man was able to be pulled out," the user posted.
While some users compared it to the Subway Surfers game, others termed it as the spirit of Mumbai/NaviMumbai.
Railway close circuit TV footage showed the man jumping onto the tracks to cross over to the opposite platform and being run over by an approaching train.
