According to the SAMEER app, the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Navi Mumbai was reported to be in the 'poor' category on Wednesday morning, which showcases the AQI mapped by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). Navi Mumbai reported 'poor' air quality with AQI of 223.

The minimum temperature in Mumbai on Wednesday is likely to be at 26 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is likely to settle at 35 degrees Celsius.

Mumbai's Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 194, in the 'moderate' category, around 8 am and Thane's AQI stood at 164, in the 'moderate' category.

In Navi Mumbai, of the seven stations, the Kopripada-Vashi area reported 'very poor' air quality with AQI at 305. Nerul showcased 'poor' category as AQI ranged between 212 and 278. Further, the Mahape, and Taloja areas in Navi Mumbai logged 'moderate' air quality.

The data further revealed that of the total 22 stations in Mumbai, Vile Parle and Chakala reported 'very poor' air quality with AQI at 331 and 343 respectively. Areas that reported 'poor' air quality included Chembur, Deonar, Malad West, Mazgaon, and Sion - will AQI ranging between 200 to 300.

The data further reveals that the most prominent pollutant in Mumbai is PM 2.5 and PM10. While the most prominent pollutant in Thane is PM10.

Further, the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) revealed that Malad's Mindspace area in Mumbai is the least polluted with AQI at 104.

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.
