He first informed the local shopkeeper and then called the customer care number of the company, Wibs, to complain about the flies. According to Bhanushali, a company supervisor visited the very next day, but did not provide a satisfactory explanation.
Ajay Bhanushali and his family had finished half the packet when they discovered four to five dead houseflies lying under the remaining slices. Shocked, Bhanushali called the company to complain
So when Bhanushali asked whether he could visit the bakery to check the hygiene precautions taken there, the supervisor told him to speak to the owners instead. On the third day (Tuesday), two of the owners of Wibs Hoshang Irani and his brother allegedly turned up at his house in Sector 30.
On the third day, he allegedly received a visit from two of the company's proprietors Hoshang Irani and his brother and he told them about the flies
"One of the owners happened to be Hoshang Irani, with whom I had spoken over the phone as well. The Irani brothers visited my home, but when I showed them the bread packet with the dead flies, one of them ate the bread slices along with the flies and even the packet," said Bhanushali, further alleging that they had even threatened him.

According to Bhanushali, one of the Irani brothers simply rolled up the packet with the bread and flies in it, and gobbled up all of it. He alleged that they even threatened him
The same day, he went to the APMC police station and registered a non-cognisable complaint against the owners of Irani Food and Investment Company Private Ltd under Section 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.

The complaint reads, "The owners of the company visited the complainant's house and without listening to him, ate the bread slices of the packet in which the dead flies were found." The entire episode has left Bhanushali confused.
"I never demanded any compensation from the company; I just asked them to let me visit the premises where the bread is manufactured so I could see for myself whether hygiene was being maintained or not.
But I never imagined that the owner would come and eat the bread, along with the dead flies and the packet just to destroy the evidence! I had expected better of them," he told mid-day.
