The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) is all set to restore the operations of Ahmedabad - Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Tejas Express from August 7. The train will run four days a week i.e Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Further regularisation of train no. 82902/ 901 shall be decided based on the passenger demand.
Amid the worsening Covid-19 situation, the Western Railway (WR) had announced the suspension of Ahmedabad-Mumbai-Ahmedabad Tejas Express from April 2.
"IRCTC will continue to prioritise safety concerns of the passengers throughout the journey. All-round preparations shall be ensured to match the expectations of the people in terms of service, safety, and health protocols amidst the ongoing pandemic," said an IRCTC spokesperson.

All passengers should install the âAarogya Setu' app on their phones and will have to undergo thermal screening, luggage disinfection before boarding the coach. "The coach, including pantry areas and lavatories, will be thoroughly disinfected at regular intervals. Frequently touched surface cleaning and regular disinfection will be done inside the coach. Detailed instructions will be given to passengers at the time of booking tickets," the spokesperson said.
He said that the train will continue with its halt at Andheri, as permitted by the Western Railway, to facilitate ease of travelling for passengers, including those intending to go to Mumbai International Airport as well.
