Despite monsoon bidding adieu, light showers were witnessed in parts of Mumbai on Wednesday. The rains have come as a welcome surprise as Mumbai's air quality has been in the 'poor' category over the past couple of days. Experts say the deterioration in air quality is mainly because of slow winds.
Also, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rains with strong winds in the upcoming days. This may bring relief to Mumbaikars who are battling with a rise in temperature and humidity from the last few days.
Meanwhile, it has already started pouring in Pune and heavy rains are expected in Mumbai between November 17 and November 19 after which the rain activities may perish and no rain woes are expected in the city during this period.
