In a bid to meet the travel demand during the upcoming festive season and provide added convenience to passengers, the Western Railway has introduced a series of weekly festival special trains on special fares. These special trains will ply between various destinations, catering to travelers during the festive season.
According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur, the Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, these festival special trains are expected to accommodate around 60,000 passengers, making their journey smoother and more accessible during this festive season.
Here are the details of the Festival Special Trains:
Mumbai Central - Kathgodam (Weekly) Superfast Special [08 Trips]

Train No. 09075 departs from Mumbai Central every Wednesday at 11.00 hrs and reaches Kathgodam at 14.30 hrs the next day.
Train No. 09076 departs from Kathgodam every Thursday at 17.30 hrs and arrives at Mumbai Central at 20.55 hrs the next day.
Bandra Terminus - Jammu Tawi AC Superfast Special (Weekly) [06 Trips]
Train No. 09097 departs from Bandra Terminus every Sunday at 21.50 hrs and arrives at Jammu Tawi at 08.35 hrs on Tuesday.
Train No. 09098 departs from Jammu Tawi every Tuesday at 23.20 hrs and arrives at Bandra Terminus at 10.10 hrs on Thursday.
Surat - Subedarganj Special (Weekly) [08 Trips]
Train No. 09117 departs from Surat every Friday at 06.00 hrs and reaches Subedarganj at 08.40 hrs the next day.
Train No. 09118 departs from Subedarganj every Saturday at 19.25 hrs and arrives at Surat at 20.00 hrs the next day.
Okha - Delhi Sarai Rohilla Superfast Special (Weekly) [10 Trips]
Train No. 09523 departs from Okha every Tuesday at 10.00 hrs and reaches Delhi Sarai Rohilla at 10.10 hrs the next day.
Train No. 09524 departs from Delhi Sarai Rohilla every Wednesday at 13.20 hrs and arrives at Okha at 13.50 hrs the next day.
Udhna - Patna Superfast Special (Weekly) [08 Trips]
Train No. 09045 departs from Udhna every Friday at 08.35 hrs and arrives at Patna at 10.05 hrs the next day.
Train No. 09046 departs from Patna every Saturday at 13.05 hrs and reaches Udhna at 14.50 hrs the next day.
These festival special trains will cater to various destinations, ensuring that passengers can enjoy a comfortable and timely journey during the festive season. The booking for these special trains will be available from October 28, 2023, for some, and from October 29, 2023, for others, at all PRS Counters and on the IRCTC website.
