Two dead bodies washed ashore near Devachi Wadi at Versova Creek on Thursday morning. The police said that local residents alerted the cops.
The officials rushed to the spot and recovered their bodies.
Both were also taken to the hospital where they were declared dead before admission.
Police also found their documents in their pockets, mobile phones and their driving licenses.

The deceased are identified as Hardev Singh and Deepak Bist. They were working in Nagpur and Pune respectively.
The Versova police registered the ADR in this matter and started an investigation into it.
Police are awaiting for the postmortem report to find whether both the deceased died due to drowning or were killed.
