Jaiswal underwent a 13-hour operation at Sion hospital
A 36-year-old biker suffered grievous head injuries after a tree fell on him at Malad East on Monday. The spine-chilling incident was captured by a CCTV camera of a shop in the vicinity. Victim Rajkumar Jaiswal underwent a 13-hour operation at Sion hospital. A helmet saved him, said his relatives.

Kurar resident Jaiswal, who took orders from grocery shops, was hit when he was out for work. A businessman saved his life by rushing him to a local hospital, where doctors checked the blood loss before sending him to Sion.

"Around 11 am, Jaiswal arrived at Cheda General Store and collected some groceries. He put on a helmet and started his bike. Just then, a tree fell on him before crashing to the ground. Jaiswal was seriously injured," said Amit Sethia, owner of a manufacturing unit and who took Jaiswal to hospital.
Jaiswal's nephew Pramod Kumar said the victim's wife and children are reaching the city from their village in Uttar Pradesh. "He is out of danger but still unconscious. The next 24 hours are crucial as per the doctors," he told mid-day
