Mumbai Traffic Police on Thursday clarified that Jaywant Palkar road in Worli is a one-way. In a notification, the police said that in order to facilitate smooth and fast flow of traffic on Jaywant Palkar road situated in the jurisdiction of Worli Traffic Division, the said road was declared as one way from Dr. Annie Basant road junction to R.J Thadani Road junction in a previous notification in the year 2007.
However, signage board on the said road disappeared and vehicle drivers were noticed violating the instructions issued through the previous notification. A board has been stationed again on the said road. Worli traffic division has sent a report to reissue the aforesaid notification.

The order issued by Raj Tilak Roushan, DCP, (H.Q. and Central),Traffic, Mumbai said, Jaywant Palkar Road shall remain one way from the junction of Annie Basant Road upto R.J. Thadani Road junction (except school buses) between 8:00 am to 12:00 pm in the morning and between 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm (except sunday).

It further said, there will be no entry to any vehicles (except school buses) on Jaywant Palkar road from Thadani Road Junction.
