Three members of a family ended their lives over âfinancial constraints' on Saturday in Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
The deceased identified as Mohini Kamwani (86), her son Dilip Kamwani (67) and his sister Kanta Kamwani (55) consumed poison, and some pills.
On Saturday, at approximately 7:30 am, the control room received a call from Dilip Kamwani claiming that his family members including himself have consumed poison. The information was relayed to the Vashi police who rushed to the first floor of Mauli building in Sector 4. They found all three members in unconscious state.

The police rushed them to NMMC General hospital, where all three succumbed to poison on Saturday evening.
Mohini Kamwani, claimed to be a wife of freedom fighter, had multiple court cases, financial disputes with relatives. Earlier, the family even sat on a hunger strike at Azad Maidan to demand justice in the matters.
"We have filed an ADR in the matter, they have written suicide note, mentioning financial constraints," told Ramesh Chavhan, Senior Inspector, Vashi Police station.
