Belinda Pereira
A 68-year-old senior citizen, Belinda Pereira, has gone missing from her house at Mahavir Nagar, Kandivli West from Thursday. Her distraught family has said she never stepped out of the house alone, but on Thursday morning she did so and appeared to be in a rush.
The Kandivli police are looking for her. Pereira stayed with her husband, Alvito. They have two sons, Kevin and Keldrin. Both stay separately at Dahisar.
Speaking to mid-day, Kevin said, "On Thursday, my mother had breakfast and left home at 8.45 am. Her daily routine was going to church with my father and then spending the day alone at home. My father comes to my house at Dahisar every day to look after my child. He returns home in the evening."
He said on Thursday, they returned from church and his father went to a relative's place. "Later, mother left the house and she seemed to be in a rush to reach somewhere, as seen from CCTV footage. We didn't have any fights at home and there are no problems. The househelp informed us that mother was not at home. Mother has also kept her mobile phone at home. We
are worried about her. I request people to help us find her," he added.
