Poster wars have begun in Mumbai as the I-N-D-I-A bloc convenes for its third meeting on Thursday. A banner inscribed with an old statement of Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray was put up parallel to the one of Opposition bloc on Western Express Highway in Santacruz. A report in ANI stated, the banner quoted a statement by Balasaheb in Marathi saying, "I will not let Shiv Sena become the Congress."

The ANI report stated that the banner is being construed as a sly dig at the rival Sena faction led by Uddhav Thackeray for forming an alliance with Congress under the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), the previous ruling alliance in Maharashtra which is now under the banner of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I-N-D-I-A).

The Bharatiya Janata Party accused the undivided Sena under Uddhav of abandoning the ideas and principles of party's founder leader Balasaheb for allying with Congress under the MVA.

According to agency reports, the partner leaders are likely to unveil their logo during the two-day do even as the leaders have widely stated that the discussion will centre on the battle plan for the upcoming General Assembly Elections and a seat sharing formula.

The inaugural meeting of the Opposition bloc was convened by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in June this year and the following huddle was held in Bengaluru in July. The third meeting is being organized by the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) comprising of Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) faction led by Sharad Pawar.

According to agency reports, 28 political parties will be attending the meet. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anil Desai earlier on Monday had confirmed that two additional regional parties from Maharashtra will be joining I-N-D-I-A bloc. Congress MP Nasir Hussain was also quoted saying seven big and small parties were in touch with them, according to ANI report.
