Mumbai sees 247 new Covid-19 cases, two deaths

City’s test positivity rate recorded at 0.60 per cent on Saturday

City saw a further drop in test positivity rate (TPR) along with the daily new cases on Saturday. As per BMC records, 247 new cases were recorded and the TPR was at 0.60 per cent. The city reported two deaths. Both the deceased had comorbidities and were above 60 years of age. The doubling rate dipped to 2,104 days on Saturday. The city's recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 331 people recovered and were discharged on Saturday.

The state saw a rise as new cases remained close to the 1,000 mark. As per the state health department, 999 cases were reported along with 49 deaths across Maharashtra. The state's case fatality rate remained constant at 2.12 per cent as 1,020 recovered and got discharged.
